Friday afternoon I got a call from Queen Anne Tractor inquiring if they could deliver my new tractor shortly. Well it took me that long to get all logged off at work and beat feet home. Ain't see a purdy thing to look at. The delivery person was very helpful in giving me the quick and dirty tour about operation, the FEL, and the MMM.

Saturday we got a chance to get in some quality seat time as I had been saving the last mow of the season for the new tractor. Additionally, I practiced dismounting and mounting the FEL. Aside from one little problem where it seemed the technician installing the FEL must have been color blind. When I reconnected the couplings the boom arm went up when it should have gone down and vise-versa. Incredibly, I was able to figure that one on my own.

To night I remove the MMM and get ready for winter.

I'm green with envy !!!!!!!!!! A sweet looking machine. I would love to trade my 445 for one, but wife says now that I am semi-retired, I can't afford both the new tractor payment and the alimony payment that would follow.

Enjoy !

Of course if you're retired your income is lower and the alimony probably wouldn't be much.......LOL

Enjoy the new toy, err, umm, I mean TOOL, enjoy the new TOOL.

Best of luck. ....

Update -
Last night I removed the MMM, it rolled out from under the tractor without problem. I used the FEL to suspend the deck while I hit it with the pressure washer and then tucked it away in the shed for the winter. I'm going to enjoy using the FEL for all my heavy lifting. ....

J MALLOY, you gotta take the wife down to the dealer and put her take her through the John Deere kitchen and house wear (like the bed spreads, coffee mugs, and out door furniture first to get her in the mood). Theeeeeennn take her out on the lot and put her on a 2210 or maybe even a 4115 and let her drive it around. This way you gradually let the "chick magnet effect" sink in. ;-) May take a couple of trips but the "JD Green M&M Phenomenon" will take effect and she'll be changing her mind. ;-) Use a John Deere sweet heart card on her if she is really stubborn. ....
